The Path to True Healing

I believe true healing begins when we allow ourselves to feel, confront our wounds, and be honest with ourselves. This process creates space for deeper connection — not only with ourselves but also with those around us.

I work with pre-teens, adolescents, adults and couples navigating the complexities of being human in today’s world.

I specialize in (but am not limited to) supporting individuals with:

  • Relationship challenges
  • Life transitions
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Trauma
  • Stress
  • Shame

My approach emphasizes building self-awareness, recognizing patterns, challenging self-limiting beliefs, and tapping into each person’s unique potential. I offer practical tools to help guide individuals toward the lives they aspire to lead — all at a pace that honors each client’s needs and capacity.

Rather than relying on a single framework, I draw from a range of therapeutic modalities including:

  • Mind-body-spirit / Mindfulness-based
  • Psychodynamic
  • Existential
  • Somatic
  • CBT

This integrative approach helps clients understand how past experiences shape the present, while providing strategies for healing now and supporting growth beyond the therapy room.

At the heart of my work is creating a safe, supportive environment where you can explore your inner world openly — without judgment or the need to filter your experience.

Professional Credentials and Jurisdiction: I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors. My clinical psychotherapy services are strictly regulated, require a formal intake process, and are exclusively available to individuals residing within the state of Pennsylvania, or in jurisdictions where I am explicitly authorized by law to practice teletherapy.

You’re welcome to schedule a free 15-minute Zoom consultation to explore how I can support you and see if we’re a good fit. I also offer referrals when appropriate.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy (or “talk therapy”) is a collaborative process where you meet with a licensed mental health professional to explore thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a safe, structured setting. Together you work to understand patterns, learn coping skills, and make changes that improve emotional wellbeing and day‑to‑day life.
What can psychotherapy help with?
Therapy can support people dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship problems, stress, life transitions, and many other mental health or emotional challenges. It can also be used for personal growth, building self‑awareness, and improving communication and boundaries even when there is no formal diagnosis.
What happens in the first session?
The first visit is usually an “intake” session where your therapist asks about your background, current concerns, and what you hope to change, so you can agree on goals together. It is also a chance for you to get a feel for the therapist’s style and decide whether they seem like a good fit for you.
How long does psychotherapy take to work?
There is no one‑size‑fits‑all timeline, but research suggests many people notice meaningful improvement after around 12–16 sessions, with deeper or more complex issues often benefiting from 20–30 or more. Some people come for brief, focused work over a few months, while others choose longer‑term therapy that continues for a year or more for ongoing growth and support.
Is psychotherapy confidential?
In general, what you share in therapy is private and protected by confidentiality, meaning your therapist cannot disclose it without your permission. However, there are important legal and ethical exceptions—such as imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse, or certain court orders—where a therapist may be required to break confidentiality to keep people safe.
